OWFF 2015: Day One of The Film Festival in Pictures

Our first day of the 2015 festival  was amazing!  The screenings of ‘My Enemy, My Brother’ and ‘Democrats’ were well-received, and our discussion panel on power, politics and democracy that followed the screenings was insightful and revealing for both attendees and panelists!

Festival-goers were able to visit information tables and learn about the great work being done by international, national and local groups in our community and around the world.  There was also time in between for attendees and volunteers to mingle and chat with our guests Professors Andriata Chironda, Kamari Clarke, and Blair Rutherford from Carleton University’s Institute of African Studies, and our MC for the evening Alan Neal from CBC Radio 1 All in a Day.

After the event people migrated over to Memories Restaurant were we indulged our sweet tooth and fed our post-festival cravings for fine food and drinks as the discussions continued.
