The Asinabka Festival is an annual Indigenous media and film festival held in Ottawa. The meaning of the Algonquin word  Asinabka  is “place of glare rock”, a reference to Chaudière Falls and a place of magnificent beauty and of great significance in the history of the Algonquin people. The Asinabka Festival is a platform for Indigenous artists both in Canada and internationally. These media artists and filmmakers are provided with the opportunity to share their work while telling their own stories and educating people about global Indigenous issues.
