One World Arts invites you to join us for Ottawa in the World … of Documentaries, a special series of screenings of Canadian documentaries that explore the changing landscape and diversity of the city of Ottawa and the national capital region. These films will be presented in three programs during April-May 2017 as part of the Ottawa 2017- Canada 150 celebrations. Each film program will include a post-screening discussion period with filmmakers and invited guests.
Canada’s Capital through the Years will take place April 23 at Shenkman Arts Centre from 2PM to 5PM and will present a series of short films about Ottawa’s evolving physical, political, socioeconomic and cultural landscape from 1938 to the present.
Ottawans on the Move will be held May 6 at Centrepointe Theatre from 2PM to 5PM and will look at ways that residents and visitors have and continue to move around and within the city — for work, health and recreation.
Ottawa Roots and Visions will take place May 20 at Saint Paul University (Amphitheatre) from 2PM to 4:30PM and will touch on the remarkable contributions made by an Ottawa family business with immigrant roots and a renowned indigenous architect whose iconic designs have shaped the national capital.

Canada’s Capital through the Years sera présenté au Centre des arts Shenkman, le 23 avril de 14h à 17h00. Il s’agit de courts métrages retraçant l’évolution géographique, politique, socioéconomique et culturelle d’Ottawa de 1938 à aujourd’hui.
Ottawans on the Move, qui se tiendra au Théâtre Centrepointe le 6 mai de 14h à 17h00, s’intéresse aux moyens de transport passés et actuels employés par les résidents et les touristes pour se déplacer dans la ville, que ce soit pour se rendre au travail, garder la santé ou pratiquer des loisirs.
Ottawa Roots and Visions sera projeté à l’amphitheatre de l’Université Saint-Paul, le 20 mai de 14h à 16h30. Ce programme présente l’apport considérable d’une famille ottavienne d’origine étrangère et celui d’un architecte autochtone renommé dont les conceptions emblématiques ont façonné la capitale nationale.
L’entrée est gratuite et tous les programmes sont ouverts au public.
En collaboration avec le partenaire principal la Banque CIBC, le programme d’investissement des arts, de la culture et du patrimoine d’Ottawa 2017 est géré par le Conseil des arts AOE, le Conseil des organismes du patrimoine d’Ottawa et le Conseil des arts d’Ottawa.
